S Y Z Y G Y X and Cold Transmission worked together to come up with the perfect compilation for this CD. All songs in this CD have been remastered, and some songs even have a few new sounds, which makes this CD basically: exclusive. The CD has songs from Broken Mirrors EP (Burning Grave Records), Encounters EP (Cold Transmission), and Is That All There Is (Burning Grave Records).

Luna Blanc and Josh Clark have always had a passion for art/creating. Josh has an extensive background in electronic music and Audio Engineering, formerly known as DJ Impulse, he used to make music with Sinthetix/Corrupt Souls in the Drum N Bass genre. Luna has always experimented with keyboards from a young age, but pursued photography, writing and film in College. Once Luna and Josh met it became obvious after just a few months that they would be making music together. To keep it interesting, they're always taking turns on everything in their sound: vocals, arps, riffs, bass, drums, pads, the production/engineering of the different aspects of their sound. There is nothing in the process of making music that one does more than the other. Every single aspect from their work, from making sound from scratch to EQ’ing and engineering the sound is made by either Luna or Josh equally, and is what makes two artists: one S Y Z Y G Y X. They work from their home studio in the Washington D.C. metro area, and continue to evolve within their sound.

 

S Y Z Y G Y X und Cold Transmission haben zusammen die perfekte Zusammenstellung für diese erste CD erarbeitet. Alle Songs auf dieser CD wurden remastered und einige Songs haben sogar ein paar neue Sounds, was diese CD im Grunde genommen zu etwas Exklusivem macht. Die CD enthält Songs von bisher nur digital veröffentlichten Alben der Band: Broken Mirrors EP (Burning Grave Records), Encounters EP (Cold Transmission) und Is That All There Is (Burning Grave Records).

Luna Blanc und Josh Clark hatten schon immer eine Leidenschaft für Kunst / Schaffen. Josh hat einen umfangreichen Hintergrund in elektronischer Musik und Audiotechnik, früher bekannt als DJ Impulse. Er war früher mit Sinthetix / Corrupt Souls im Drum’N‘Bass-Genre beheimatet. Luna experimentierte schon in jungen Jahren mit Keyboards, beschäftigte sich jedoch im College mit Fotografie, Schreiben und Film. Als Luna und Josh sich kennenlernten, wurde schon nach wenigen Monaten klar, dass sie gemeinsam Musik machen würden. Um es interessant zu gestalten, wechseln sie immer alles in ihrem Sound ab: Gesang, Arps, Riffs, Bass, Schlagzeug, Pads, die Produktion / das Engineering der verschiedenen Aspekte ihres Sounds. Es ist nichts dabei, Musik zu machen, was der eine mehr tut als der andere. Jeder einzelne Aspekt ihrer Arbeit, von der Tonerzeugung von Grund auf bis zum EQ'ing und Engineering, wird von Luna oder Josh gleichermaßen erzeugt und macht aus zwei Künstlern: einen SYZYGYX. Sie arbeiten von ihrem Heimstudio in Washington DC, und weiterhin ihren Sound zu entwickeln.
